Original Demarcation of the Douro by Marquês de Pombal
The Quinta do Valdalágea is situated in the original Douro region as it was originally drawn. A truly genuine heritage site waiting to be explored.
Situated on the left bank of the Douro river, namely within the village limits of Valdigem, and in the county of Lamego.
Its good location and its accessibility aided the Quinta´s transformation into a center for wine production.
After being stabilized and prepared, the wines were mostly exported to England, France and Benelux, although the English market was the strongest for these wines.
